Etihad Airways Engineering has been awarded an Airbus A330 heavy maintenance contract by Brussels Airlines for its winter 2016-2017 schedule.
The scope of the contract includes C-checks on six Airbus A330 aircraft at Etihad Airways Engineering’s state-of-the-art facility in Abu Dhabi. The first Airbus A330 under the new contract will arrive in Abu Dhabi this month for nose-to-tail maintenance.

Etihad Airways Engineering enjoys a rich legacy of MRO experience and expertise, having served more than 100 airlines and aviation operators from around the world over the last 25 years.
The company set a new industry benchmark in 2014 by replacing a GE90 engine on a Boeing 777 passenger aircraft in fewer than seven hours, creating a new world record in the process.
The time taken to replace an aircraft engine is usually between 20 and 25 hours, which can cause significant operational disruption to flight schedules and ultimately reduce profitability. The previous world record was 14 hours.
