Middle East's first B787 C-check completed for LATAM Airlines Group

Etihad Airways Engineering, the Middle East’s leading aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) provider, successfully completed the region’s first heavy maintenance

C-check on a Boeing 787 aircraft for LATAM, one of the largest airline groups in the world with a global network of more than 140 destinations.

LATAM was the launch customer for the B787 Dreamliner in the Americas and selected Etihad Airways Engineering to carry out the first scheduled C-check on its B787 aircraft.

Jeff Wilkinson, Senior Vice President Technical, Etihad Airways, said: “We value the trust that the LATAM Airlines Group has placed in us by selecting Etihad Airways Engineering to perform the C-check on its first B787 aircraft.

“This was also the first C-check carried out in the Middle East region, and provides a strong endorsement of the inherent quality and skill sets of the team involved, and of our dedicated MRO facilities.
